Who's Behind the Shoe Heist in Tigard, Oregon?

27 Feb

A Disappearing Act
Authorities are investigating the disappearance of a “giant shoe.” The missing footwear – described as “Shrek-sized” – went missing in early February from Foot Solutions in Tigard.

“We really don’t know exactly what size it is, but it’s almost 4 feet long,” says Foot Solutions store owner Kurt Doctor.

The shoe – an authentic replica of an innovative Chung Shi shoe – was on display outside Foot Solutions. Each morning, Doctor would put the shoe out for display; each evening, his staff would bring it inside the store for safekeeping. Until, that is, it vanished…

The Scene of the Crime
It was a quiet, unassuming afternoon in early February when the shoe went missing. Foot Solutions store owner Kurt Doctor was training his team on the latest advances in orthotics. Nestled in the Tigard Promenade on SW Pacific Highway, Foot Solutions specializes in foot care and proper fit as keys to health, wellness and comfort.

The Detective
Maya Braddock, Oregon’s top…er, gumshoe…is on the case. Braddock heads up

The Back Story

Combining ancient Asian wisdom and modern German design, the Chung Shi shoe features a patented sole that provides a massaging effect while walking or standing. Its unique heel/toe design, combined with a center roll bar, supports the foot in a way that improves body alignment, reduces stress and decreases shock to the spine.

The Witnesses
Super sleuth Maya Braddock learned that two teens were filming video of the Shrek-sized shoe for a project. Could they have unknowingly caught the crime on video? A quick search on YouTube turned up no leads.

Can You Solve the Crime?
Foot Solutions is offering a reward for the safe return of the king-size Chung Shi shoe. Anyone with information about the missing shoe – or anyone seeking a more comfortable fit for the feet – is asked to visit Foot Solutions in Tigard.

This is brilliant. I love marketing and slice-of-life stories combined together.

    And Bigfoot.
As the cool kids say (I don’t think I’m one of them but, oh well) …
