My Christmas Gifts to You

22 Dec

I’m playing Santa Claus today. Here’s my Christmas wish list for all of you:

Lyell Petersen – Bountiful blessings to the people of New Orleans, and all the soul food you can eat

Scott Monty – A prosperous year for Ford and a renewed sense of purpose for your industry

Julie Roads – An Underwood No. 5 (something old) and a Blackberry Storm (something new)

Jim “Big Fleet” Van Fleet – An invitation to Graceland to fulfill your destiny

Kristin Jann-Fischer – A “jumpstart” role in a musical — Broadway, off-Broadway, or wherever your heart desires

Chris Brogan – Ample servings of rest, relaxation, peace and free time. Take a breather, dude. We want you to still be here in 20 years.

Christy Season – A Clemson victory over Nebraska in the Gator Bowl on Jan. 1

Jason Falls – Continued growth and evolution of Doe-Anderson Interactive

Brandon Uttley – A transformative 2009 for the Charlotte PRSA chapter

Lisa Hoffmann – Fort Collins, Colorado

Andria Krewson – A roadmap and fair weather for the newspaper industry

Joseph Jaffe – A few more crayons in your box and plenty of pages to color

Aaron Strout – Some kick-ass tunes

Amber Cadabra – A lear jet with direct flights between Chicago and Charlotte

Beth Harte – A pony

Scott Lundgren – Bike lanes on every road in Charlotte

Katie Morse – A new job with a sweeeeeeeeeeet corner office

Andy Ciordia – A plentiful harvest for North Carolina’s growers

Todd Defren – Calm seas and a sky filled with stars for navigating

Rosie Reilman  - Better luck for the Browns in ’09

Suzanne Tobias – A bucket filled to the brim with smooth, flat rocks

B.L. Ochman – Panoramas dripping with color and nuance, and a few extra minutes to enjoy the view

Matt Bacak – Second chances. And third, and fourth, and fifth…and a community that leaves no man behind.

Darryl Parker – A box of Padrón Serie 1926 Maduro cigars

John Easton – A bigger stage — you’re due.

Shannon Paul – One more day with your dad, so he could see what an amazing woman you’ve become

If I’ve missed you, please forgive me! I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas.

Thank you, Scott. What a sweet wish you reserved for me! I curse you a little for making me cry at work, but I appreciate you keeping me and my dad in your heart. A very Merry Christmas to you, too. :)

A pony… wow! You truly warmed my heart today Scott. Thank you so much! I have really missed riding and the bond that develops between human and horse. Luckily, the bonds humans make are just as strong and wonderful. Have a wonderful holiday season and I am so lucking forward to spending 2009 with you!

    All the best,
    Beth

I wish Fort Collins could fit in Santa's sack but, alas, I must find my way there myself – maybe with a little help from my friends. Thanks for the wish :)

I hope Santa brings you plenty of cream for your coffee. The kind you don't have to ask for.

    Merry Christmas!
