Iced Red Velvet CupcakeDear Polka Dot Bake Shop,

Ever since that first crumbly bite of your Red Velvet cupcake passed my lips, I have been yours, truly and completely.

You seduced me with Peanut Butter Cup. You tempted me with German Chocolate. But that first tender morsel of Red Velvet made me weep.

I swore I’d resist your advances in 2009. “New year, new me,” right? I was determined to shed that cushion you gave me around my waistline. And then, this.

My eyes glazed over as I dreamed of the possibilities: Daily Tweets to suggest cupcake/coffee pairings…a Twitter contest to determine new cupcake flavors…daily nibbles of confectionary trivia. Bite-sized drops of heaven served up daily in bite-sized Tweets.

140 characters never sounded so indulgent!

If only there were a cupcake lover in Charlotte who could help you get started…someone who was put on this Earth to do two things: Eat sweets and tell the story.

Let’s do it, Polka Dot Bake Shop…let’s fall in love all over again! And this time, let’s share our love with the rest of the confection craving world. Let me introduce you to Twittering chocoholics and sweet tooths. I’ll show you how to build a community around a cupcake. Let’s show the world that a little sin never hurt.

All I ask is a few morsels of Red Velvet to get me through the week.

    Actually, they might! I just checked their website — they DO deliver, but not sure how far. You should call and ask!
