Joining Ritz Marketing to Lead the Social Media Team

15 May

Update: I left Ritz three months after joining the agency.

I am thrilled to announce that I have joined Ritz Marketing in Charlotte, North Carolina to lead their social media and emerging media team.

Charlotte’s social media scene is heating up, and one agency — Ritz Marketing — impressed me with its desire to listen, learn, engage and lead. At a time when many agencies are shrinking, Ritz is growing (stay tuned for more), and that has everything to do with the strong team they’ve assembled.

My responsibilities include some exciting challenges, including:

  • Advise national on local clients on social media strategy
  • Teach our entire marketing/PR team about the “ins and outs” of social media
  • Keep a sharp eye on emerging trends, best practices and new marketing channels
  • Revamp the agency’s brand to reflect our knowledge of social and emerging media

Challenging? Sure. But you know me — I thrive when I’m challenged.

If we’re not already, let’s connect on LinkedIn and Twitter. As excited as I am to join Ritz, I’m even more eager to interact in new ways with Charlotte’s social media innovators.

What should we get the world buzzing about today?

Scott, that's great news! They are lucky to have you. What do you see as the biggest challenge and/or opportunity for digital in Charlotte's market, specifically?
